Hike Messenger beats WhatsApp, Launches U.P.I Wallet Service In India!
For its 100 million users, Hike messenger has launched a mobile wallet and UPI (Unified Payments Interface) payments in Indiain partnership with Yes Bank. This move comes way ahead of rival messaging app Whatsapp, which has around 20 million users in the country.
These services will be available on the 5.0 version of Hike’s mobile messaging app, which would allow users to do free and instant, bank-to-bank transfers through UPI, money transfers via wallet, and recharges right from the mobile app, Hike Messenger founder and CEO Kavin Bharti Mittal said. Hike Messenger has become the first messaging platform in India to launch payments facility.
