Apple iPad Pro 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch India availability confirmed

NEW DELHI: Not only has Apple revealed the availability date of its recently launched MacBook Pro and 12-inch MacBook models, but it has also confirmed the availability details of the refreshed iMac models. These iMac models, which were introduced during last month's WWDC 2017 conference, will be available in India within next week. The tablets will be available with Apple authorised retailers in the country.

The new iPad models have already been listed on the company's own website with prices and specifications.

10.5-inch iPad Pro

The 10.5-inch iPad Pro will be available in Silver, Space Gray, Gold and Rose Gold colour versions. The Wi-Fi only variants with 64GB, 256GB and 512GB storage will cost Rs 50,800, Rs 58,300 and Rs 73,900 respectively. The Wi-Fi + Cellular model with same storage space versions cost Rs 61,400, Rs 68,900 and Rs 84,500 respectively.

12.9-inch iPad Pro

The iPad Pro 12.9-inch model will be available in Silver, Space Gray and Gold colours. It's Wi-Fi only 64GB, 256GB and 512GB models will cost Rs 63,500, Rs 70,900 and Rs 86,400 respectively. The Wi-Fi + Cellular ones with same storage versions will cost Rs 74,100, Rs 81,400 and Rs 97,000.

The 'new' iPad Pro tablets now support full-size iOS 11 keyboard on screen. The display comes with True-tone colour support, 600nits of brightness and the capability to play HDR videos.

The new iPads are powered by Apple's A10X Fusion SoC, comprised of a six-core CPU and a twelve-core GPU. The company claims that the new chipset boasts up to 30 per cent more speeds and 40 per cent better graphics performance than the A9X. All the iPad models sport 12MP f/1.8 rear camera with 4K resolution video capture (same as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have). There's a 7MP Facetime HD camera with image stabilization included as well. Both tablets come with Lightning 3.0 port.

The refreshed iPads have a feature called 'ProMotion,' which brings a super-fast refresh rate of 120Hz to their displays for smoother visual experience. The tablets will get iOS 11 update when it's released later this year.
