Reliance slashes price of its LYF 4G VoLTE smartphones by up to 60%

Reliance has slashed the price of its LYF smartphones by up to 60 percent. The smartphones with new reduced price tags are already listed on Reliance’s website. Out of all the smartphones, LYF Water 1, LYF F1s, LYF  Water 11 and the LYF F1 saw the biggest discounts. So without further ado, let’s take a look at the discounted price of the smartphone.

Reliance Digital LYF Water 1 (White): Out of the lot, this LYF smartphone comes with the biggest discount. The smartphone was earlier available for Rs 17,399, and is now available for Rs 6,898 after a discount of 60 per cent. It features a 5-inch Full HD display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. At this discounted price, the smartphone will face tough competition with the likes of Redmi 4A and Moto C Plus, which are already well-established smartphones in the market as of now.

Reliance Digital LYF F1s (Black): After a discount of about 53 per cent, the smartphone is now available for Rs 9,499, down from Rs 20,249 before discount. In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 5.2-inch full HD display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The LYF F1S packs a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The LYF F1S will give a tough fight to the top selling phone of Q1, 2017, the Redmi Note 4.

Reliance Digital LYF F1 (Black): The smartphone is available for purchase at Rs 9,499 after a discount of 42 percent. The smartphone was initially priced at Rs 16,499. On the specs front, the smartphone is powered by 1.21GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor along with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone sports a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front camera. It runs Android 6.0.1 and features a 5.2 full HD resolution screen. In terms of competition, the smartphone will compete with Coolpad Note 5 Lite, Redmi Note 4 and Yu Yureka Black.Reliance Digital LYF Water 10 (Black): Available for Rs 6,999, the smartphone was originally priced at Rs 11,549. The new price comes after a discount of 39 percent. Launched back in August 2016, the smartphone comes with a 5-inch display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. It is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. In terms of optics, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front camera. The smartphone will share its market with Intex Aqua Star and InFocus M370. 

Apart from this, smartphones like LYF Water 11, LYF Water 7S, LYF Earth 1 and LYF Wind 4S have also received a price cut. The smartphones are now available for Rs 7,249, Rs 7,649, Rs 19,131 and Rs 6,549 respectively.

Additionally, all the aforementioned smartphones are eligible for ‘Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan’ scheme. Reliance is also offering an EMI option on these phones. However, the EMI option can only be availed if the smartphone is purchased using a credit card. 

In other news, the extended Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer with benefits that lasted up to 84 days, has been reduced to 56 days. On the other hand, the ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’ offer with a validity of 90 days, has become costlier by around 33 percent. The new rates offer 1GB of data per day for a period of 56 days on a recharge of Rs 309. Earlier customers use to get 1GB data for 84 days for the same amount. For customers who still want the offer to last for 84 days have to recharge with Rs 399 pack.
