Camera-centric Nubia N2 launched at Rs 15,999, to compete with Redmi Note 4

The smartphone is priced at a decent cost of Rs 15,999 against Note 4's Rs 12,999

Launched on July 6,  ZTE Nubia N2 smartphone is powered by a massive 5,000mAh battery. The company is pitting this smartphone, priced at a decent Rs 15,999, directly against the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, which is priced at Rs 12,999 and has a 4,100mAh battery.

The Nubia N2 smartphone comes in two attractive colours -- Black Gold, Champagne Gold -- and has a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels and AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor with 4GB RAM to provide a consistent performance. By comparison, the Redmi Note 4 runs on a superior Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with 4GB RAM, which can handle high-end games easily.

Internal storage is a good 64 GB, expandable to up to 128GB via microSD. However, it comes with an older Android version, Marshmallow. What's better is that there is active noise cancellation with dedicated mic and DTS sound.

With dual SIM slots (Nano+Nano) and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, the phone is pretty efficient for regular users. The fingerprint sensor in the Note 4 is placed on the back, while in the N2 it is integrated with the non-clickable home button in front. Coming to the camera, the phone packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies, while the Redmi Note 4's 13-megapixel camera uses a Sony sensor.

Connectivity options are Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
